Lethal Company

Lethal Company

Why isn't this game going on sale?
Waiting for winter sale to buy it for me and friend. I'm sure the total revenue from people buying discounted would far surpass the 20% discount.

You want to use a product without paying for it, basically stealing from the person who created said product.
Tell me you never worked for a living without telling me you never worked for a living.

The fact that you make these mental gymnastics to justify you being garbage is more than enough for everyone to see what kind of person you are.

Just don't play the game at all. If you can't afford it either wait for a sale, save up some money or do literally ANYTHING else with your life. Jesus Christ.

Get your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friends to buy this game for you then, you cheap child.

You have some serious issues in life if THIS is your priority right now.
Not only this but you also have the audacity to attack everyone else here for giving you a reality check. lol.

This is just sad.

Anyway, reported for advocating piracy and openly admitting to pirating games. Have fun.

I would like to remind everyone that even a 20% discount, which is a lot for a new game btw, would cut down only about 2€ off of the total price. I guess that is some money that you save, sure, but the game's price is already less than even some other indie games I've seen, including games that are on sale.

It's unrealistic to expect big sales to happen on games that have only recently released. At best, 10% is what you'd get. Instead of 10€, it'd be 9€. Yeah it's a bit of money, but is it really that big of a deal? If you can't afford it, I feel like you have other priorities in life right now than to buy games.

Also, discounts are intended to drive sales forward for games where sales have slowed down significantly, so you offer a (usually small at first) discount to create incentive for people to buy the game right now. With how well the game has been doing though, if anything, the price should go up.

This is a very fair point, 10% would not go very far in europe, here its >800ARS. I have a job, I work full time in agriculture. I understand if you can't relate, it was hard when I moved here from europe a long time ago to understand that converting currency is not the same as converting prices and wages. You could come with 1000€ here and live like a king for weeks, and you could go to europe with 100K in ARS and it would last you a couple of days.

For the amount of content and replayability you get from lethal company I dare say its worth even more than 10 euros. I would be happy to pay 20 for it even.
They want to pirate it for some reason. when its $10... When the game is Worth atleast $15 with it being made by 1 guy.
You keep saying this, even if its not true, wont make it true. Will getting my account banned cheer you up? "One less of them on my forums". Luck of the draw.

I see. Well how's that like with other games on Steam though? Indie games are usually priced around 20-30 bucks, with AAA releases being around 50-70 bucks. Some not getting any discounts at all for a while, others only getting maybe 10%, BIG MAYBE 15% or even 20% if you get very lucky. If you get super unlucky, games will only ever get a 20% discount for many years after release, making it feel like you never really get a good offer at all.

And like I said, Lethal is a new release, it's very unusual for new releases to get much of a discount at all. I'm sure it will eventually go onto sale, but you are looking at years of waiting for the games you want to get significant discounts.

EDIT: Just as an example, the newly released SteamWorld Build (Indie Game City Builder you can finish in a few hours), has a base price of 30€, currently 10% off and it brings the price down to only about 27€. New release, and for a game that is nowhere near as popular as Lethal. You'll be looking at at least a few years before you get some good discounts on a new game.

you literally openly said you are going to pirate the game. but edited your message to say "plundering" Moderation and steam employees can see what it was before editing. I even quoted what you said in a reply...

Steam usually has a system where based on your country you get to buy it at a discounted price. Say, if the game is 10 dollars, it will sell at 5 dollars in argentina. That IS the price listed on steamDB for argentina, but not on steam for argentinians IRL. idk why.
I appreciate the effort on steams side, but the discount still doesn't make it equivalent.
The currency here isn't half of a dollar, for it to be half price (or should be according to steamDB, isn't). It is a fraction of a cent. 0.001 USD to be specific.

I did not say I would do such a thing, simply illustrating how that was the only option for many. ARR

Plundering booty is indeed the only way it seems, it's shame. I hoped that steam currency equalizer system would let me give something to the dev.

Changing Piracy to Plunder doesnt change the fact you OPENLY said you will do it.
Edit. and to say, you never said " Many people here resort to this" you literally said. YOU are doing it. One does not equal the many.

Edit2. at this rate. it feels like you are troll baiting.

GTA V also remained at a very high price many years after release. I don't know how much it got in terms of discounts, but they had no reason to ever feel like permanently dropping the price. Usually, the games I manage to snatch for like a 5er are the ones that have been out for many years and have a bunch of more sequels.

Oh? Interesting. SteamDB is really the only source I have for seeing how much things are priced around the world, but not every game gets regional prices right.

Lethal Company for example, it's actually 9.75€ in Germany, and 9.99 USD in the US. See, there is a very small difference in the number. Most games are priced the exact same number in both Germany and the US, which is inaccurate to the overall purchasing power and value of the respective currency. What ever Steam's system for regional pricing it is they have, it's inconsistent for every game out there.

This comment you keep quoting doesn't say I would do it, simply that it is the only option to play. Maybe your english is as bad as mine?
