Lets talk eclipse mode

I love this game, and I love a good challange.
But going to maps like rend, dine, and titan just to do one match then have it be eclipsed the next 5 times gets kinda upsetting. Eclipsed wouldn't be bad if i could leave the ship without 5 forest giants trying to vore me.

SOLUTION

I think if eclipsed mode was like an actual eclipse and only lasts for a little bit. So you start the world as a normal world but a random time is selected to be eclipsed, then all the big nasty's come out and do their rampaging and when the eclipse ends after 2-4 in game hours, then afterwords the enemy's that spawned from the eclipse go back into hiding.

I respect your opinion but I think it's fine the way it is. A watered down eclipse would make the game less challenging and also less fun.

Maybe giving a short 1 minute grace period before going nuts and spawning enemies would be ideal. Though it is a bit random already and sometimes you can get out of ship easy. Then at other points, it is exactly what you describe 2-3 forest giants or a swarm of dogs.

I think that eclipses are meant to make players stop going to the same moon every time. Otherwise, everyone would stay on Titan all the time.
