I do, however, have the deal of a lifetime for you! You'll want to grab the HDLethalCompany mod and in it's configuration disable fog. This will get you the results you are looking for! There is also two other mods that do the same thing.
I recommend the mod vs asking for it to be removed because it will not be removed, best you'll get is maybe in the future fog graphics settings at best?
Hope that helps.
If there's constructive critisicm I can give, its that weathered moons should be more rewarding.
Please put that recommendation in a new discussion or my discussion "New Feature Recommendations." I seriously want that feature you mentioned. I loved that I recently went with a nutjob that just liked going on weathered moons. It's just unfortunate that the risk wasn't worth the reward.
bit late is a understatement anyways:
id consider using this mod cheating even if pve game it still gives an advantage over your teammates and makes it easy to defeat the purpose of the weather and spot things like dogs with ease from a safe distince (which the entire purpose of the fog is to remove that visability making it hard to avoid pve)
however in general i do wish the range would be increased a bit because its so easy to get thrown off and maybe even lost by the low visability its not fun to navigate through at all
i think its current state should become a rarer case of "extreem fog" and maybe adjust things (like enemy spawns) a bit
Fog likewise, could maybe become a bit more dynamic? Maybe instead of a constant blanket of complete blindness, it "rolls in" in waves that last for an in-game hour or so. Wesley's moons has a good example of this on "Gloom" where fog will roll in an severely cripple vision, but then subsides after a bit.
Yeah, I'm pretty new to the community and just saw this discussion...
What you are saying is completely fair. I can see how the mod I mentioned may be seen as cheating. To provide some additional context, I don't even land on March, for example, when there is foggy weather, and I've heard the same for others. The fog is just too thick. Given that, a "cheat mod" could be used as an opportunity to enjoy the game in this particular situation for some people. Also to clarify, my goal was to make a mod that wasn't so polarized (full fog or no fog), meaning you have the option to decrease density just a tiny bit so it's doesn't feel so cheaty.
On another note, I like your idea of increasing visibility range but not change density. It's a good potential mod feature.
Also really cool ideas!
i say we keep the fog
