How do I prevent mods from players joining my public lobby
Some players seem to have client side mods that give them advantages that are not desired for typical gameplay. For example, I've had players join who could sprint infinitely, teleport from the ship into the dungeons, give infinite money to the host, interact with items regardless of distance from player.

Short of kicking them from the lobby, how could a host ensure only the host's mods are loaded (Like just the more company mod).

I could obviously run private games or kick whoever is abusing the mods, but sometimes we might not notice they've used them until the game has progressed past a save.

I've also tried looking for some permission mods, but they seem to be limited. Has anyone found any solutions or had any success?

The only way to currently enforce is to make a 'premade', and if you find people not happy as host use lethaladmin to ban theyr steamid from Future lobbys. There's no 'denial' mod as far as I know right now.

True. I use the HD mod to disable fog so I can see on certain planets. It's an advantage (but I argue since fog has no counter it's stupid). I don't imagine a denial mod would be hard to make. Just make the mod check the player's bepinx folder and if it finds anything there in the plugins folder, no join.

Thanks for the replies. That all makes sense. Perhaps I'll look into making a better permissions mod.
