Can anyone recommend a good gaming mic/headset under $200?
A big part of this game is communicating and at the moment I can't. What's a good budget option that you guys can recommend?

Buy a dedicated mic & get a comfortable headset. Most headsets that are cheaper either have comfort & audio or the good mic but seemingly never both / all you might desire.

The audiopro X5 also comes with a usbc compatible cord as well as the usual kind of usb if I am not mistaken.

These are what I had been running, I swapped out headsets for this one (below) at one point but I found this one way less comfortable than the other one, though it supposedly has 7.1 surround sound (tbh I don't have much experience with 7.1 but it does sound different with that mode on), the mic on both of these headsets are trash but the AudioProX5 microphone has been really good you can even plug the headset into the mic & it has volume controls for your output & input though I tripped over my cords at one point & bent the internals so I use it without using the built in plug anymore.

based on the reviews, the Razer BlackShark V2 2023* edition has very good mic quality. Apparently its to tier, and listening it on studio headphones and crispness is actually surprising.

Most gaming headsets with a mic headset combo usually sound like crap and are marked up for "gamers"

a dedicated usb mic is probably gonna sound the best 99% of the time.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys!! I'll have to research these and see which one works best for me but this is an excellent place to start.

Like the other guy said, get a comfy headset and a dedicated external mic. Headset mics are usually pretty bad. I have a Samson Meteor mic, it is a solid microphone for those not willing to spend huge amounts of money on one.
