The utility of the walkie might be worth the slot, as you can more easily assist the other players and thus get more loot out overall that way, at least late in the day if you leave it outside at first. I know that everybody wants to get loot out to feel like part of the team.
A toggle for teleport that you can flip on/off seems like a good idea as an anti-griefing measure as previous poster said.
I'm looking at you Goober, using the teleporter to bring people back to the ship to kill them.
