No one ever joins my hosted games?

This used to not be an issue, but literally no one is joining after half an hour of waiting. A friend of mine started a server himself and he immediately had people start joining. Wtf is going on?

It's not modded. I did previously have it modded, but I did a clean reinstall. Are there leftover mod files somewhere other than ..steamapps\common\Lethal Company?

Unfortunately, mods are not in my realm of expertise. Hopefully someone will pop in that does know that kind of stuff.

usually for modded the reason no one would join is because they dont have the same mods as you, although some are considered "client-side" mods, so they wouldn't need those. Also for modded it automatically titles it being modded either way. For you to clean out your files for lethal company you could easily just select the whole lethal company folder in steamapps\common then empty your bin all manually, then uninstall it from steam also.

you could also go to settings then go to apps and unistall it from there cause that also fully wipes it, steam usually keeps some games folders to save unique data so thats why you would still have left over mod files if you did. Other than that if the lobbies you see when you look at them if they're not labeled with "[BL]" then you don't have the mods in your files most likely. Vanilla wise the reason no one would join you is because the game is really popular and the odds of getting someone in your lobby with it being 1/4th full is very unlikely unless you have friends in with you.

using the thunderstore app on overwolf also just solves all that problem, it gives you the freedom of playing with what mods you want playing modded or vanilla.

and you still have trouble people joining you? if your friend was able to join you on the vanilla version then there should be no reason not for anyone to join.

yeah i do, the odds are really not on your side, you two could always find a lobby that has 2 slots left or so. Other than that, thats pure luck.

i have the same issue, can wait for hours with no one joining. I have the overwolf app and can play vanilla and modded its the same either way. Also tried re installing, running as admin, verifying, etc. next im gonna try getting rid of overwolf and all the mods.

got rid of all mods and still the same issue. Others are having similar issues too. At this point i think those of us who are having ongoing issues will have to wait for a patch/update.

I had people join my game and we started the game then 3 people quit and those people who quit still showed up on the team menu when the mission concluded and no one joined to take there place the entire time after. So weird.

so apparently if your hosting you need your server to be at the bottom of the server list. My un educated guess is that the top servers are getting clicked on more and causing issues with multiple people joining at the same time. No idea how the server list is ranked though or if this is the actual issue. I re created my group multiple times with different names, and when some eventually joined they said they had to scroll to the end of the server list before they could join. Other times people said my server didnt show up at all. Makes me wonder if there is an invisible server count cap?

The modded comments I think don't understand how modding works. If you are not playing LC_API, and you have no mods with protections similar to LC_API, your lobby will not show as modded, or be moved into the modded-specific server list.

Same issue I’ve had it for a month now and my lobbies I always gotta wait like an hour for 1 person to join and expect them to wait for another modded and vanilla
