People who take this game too seriously ruin it
Like relax and have fun, who cares what their level is. Just let them play

id rather play with someone who just started to play the game instead of the 20th player who starts the ship as soon as everyone went into the building.

I think it's because of the concept of losing all your stuff when you lose which prompt some people to play "competitively"

Rank is a decent way of telling skill level, but that's more for me to decide how I should play. With employees and part-timers, I usually have to pull my weight a bit more. With bosses and leaders, I can goof off a bit more and still make quota. I don't exclude beginners. Also, the rank system is probably included in the first place to increase competitiveness, but that's more speculation.

The irony.

What about the people that wanna play with people that are experience.

Cant they relax and have fun with likeminded people?

You arnt entitled to play with people. Host makes the rules. If host wants to play with experienced players, then he wants to do that.

Also... if I wanna play a 'relaxing' game I will play something like rimworld, a game you can pause

Yeah, I played with a guy last night that was just sighing loudly everytime someone died. We were all having a great time and he got butthurt and kicked everyone in the lobby. If you want to play in a more focused manner, then you should state it in the title of your lobby, otherwise you can't cry about it when people join who aren't up to par with your expectations.

Me and my friends actively make fun of a guy we know because he joined the lobby talking about how he has so many more hours than us and didnt want us to do certain things. Then kept talking about how much better his sex life was than ours for some reason? People are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ braindead.

I feel like this cuts both ways.

It's kind of cringe to have overly high expectations of teammates that you force upon them.

It's also kind of cringe when you have multiple people that spend the entire game in the ship, never going for loot, leaving early because they're too scared of dying to engage with threats in the game, etc.

Rank is glitched. After having too much exp your rank reset to intern.

Why did people get mad when other people were jumping on railings? It had no impact on their own gameplay. Just let them play. Why couldn't they just relax and have fun?

We live in a funny world.

I like playing well, but in most games where I go into a random lobby, I often focus on my own play and let others be others. LethalCompany is one of the games that lets you do that stress-free mostly, if there's no griefing involved at least.

Here's my take after hitting 150 hours. There's a pretty strong comp community atm and it's only going to grow further. I get the game can be very silly and goofy at times, the problem is it wears off relatively quickly as you learn various monsters and strats in game.

With time, people stop:
- Screaming when they see a looter bug
- Failing jumps across beams
- Dying to dogs or other creatures
- Getting hopelessly lost in mazes
- Overreacting in general

Many of these aspects make the game funny. I'll never forget my first encounter with the bracken as spectator and couldn't stop laughing the entire time: https://www.reddit.com/r/lethalcompany/comments/17ulapt/i_cant_stop_laughing_xd/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

But, when people become more competent, that one core component is changed. I wouldn't say it's worse, it's just different. Now you have a group of competent players and seeing them react to threatening situations can make the game all the more serious and terrifying. It feels much more like a true horror coop survival game.

Tho, I do want to stress one thing tho. I'm personally not a fan of digging through the code or wiki to find out every tiny little detail about the game. I rather learn as I play (the way God intended).
