mods with friends

if i wanna use some mods to play with my gf, would my gf need the mod installed to join?

depends on the mods, more often than not yes. to be safe. I used thunderstore mm so that when i added 50 mods i could send the code to my friends to make sure we all had the same ones

use the thunderstore app. its easy to use and you can share modpacks

to put it simply, you have client side mods which consist of Audio changes, skin changes, suit changes etc etc, your gf will not need these installed.

The one she will need to install are server-sided ones which are basically the ones that change how the game work. So mods such as added scrap, mimic mods, harder difficulties.
