Playing in the same room

I have seen that a lot of the draw of this game is that you have proximity voice chat, but I mostly play with my flat mate and our PCs are in the same room, is the game still fun like that, do you have similar experiences?

As long as you're having fun you can't go wrong lol! I have played in separate households and with a friend side by side and I can say the proximity chat adds a level of immersion. I have been thinking of trying to play in separate rooms with my friends in the same house so we can try to implement the proximity chat.. I've noticed when you're relying on it, it makes it harder to tell if your friends are alive and makes it even more tense for you until you see them again or find their bodies. Where when I play with my friend next to me I can notice when he is in a predicament or something has happened. As long as yall have fun though I don't think you can go wrong in this game 😂

"Fun" is subjective. I know I play with my friends, who are in the same room with each other (but not me) and they have fun. Really the only thing it allows you to do is communicate without a walkie talkie and know for certain when someone else dies (which is usually pretty obvious anyway).
