Optimization ?

Hey, I don't know if it's just me but I'm consistently getting low fps (about 10 - 20 fps) on the game and currently it doesn't have any optimization tools other than limiting the frame rate. I just wanted to ask has the dev said anything about adding more optimization tools like a graphics option or something ?
