Enraged Jesters and Coilheads require time to force a closed door open.
Slimes cannot open doors at all.
I do agree with doors having more use. A locked door is effectively a wall in terms of protection but the second you pop a key in most monsters open it even faster than you.
Most of them shouldn't be able to or should take much longer and actually destroy the door like thumpers and maybe spiders.
Coilheads definitely should not be able to open them, there's no way to properly avoid them especially if you're alone with one, you're lucky if you can use the fire exit/main door to leave while one is behind you.
Fleas shouldn't be able to open them at all.
Bracken and Jester are fine as they are I think.
