The issue must be on your end. That is; it's not your friend. You're hearing an echo from your mic, maybe because you have the wrong microphone selected in the settings? Or in the device settings for your microphone you have it set to playback audio or something? idk.
I used that to play soundclips in PUBG before i found out there are actually tools that let you play specific sounds over your mic to other players, and not ALL of your sounds.
Playing Dragula Hot Rod Herman remix and slowly driving past other squads in PUBG, who don't even shoot you and just go "Woooooh!" "Yeaaaaah!"... Good times!
