Some sort of terminal command that lets you scan the item on the ship.

you already can tho, just put "scan" into the terminal and it should give you an estimate of how many items are inside the facility

i think op means more as in an accurate way to determine the value of all items collected within the ship, similar to the ship loot mod [thunderstore.io]

The monitor needs to be better overall, a lot of it is hard to see and it needs to indicate if stairs go up or down.

There is a command in the terminal that has a higher quality view of the monitor's screen and viewing the players. It's "view monitor" then you can type "switch" to switch and cycle through the players. All while still being in the terminal.
