Potential Monster Loot?
No, not Braken or Thumpers or Dogs. I mean something like collecting the tail of a Spore Lizard (the purple orb rattle thing) and selling it for some chump change in relation to the amount of effort required to obtain it, that being actually chasing down and killing a Spore Lizard in a facility full of monsters while you are on an active time limit. If Bee Hives can cost upwards of 150 credits, then I don't see why we can't have some other forms of monster loot so long as they have some forms of risk attached to the collection process.

Another potential idea that comes from my younger brother is adding in the ability to use any normal "container" scrap pieces (like a mug) to scoop up some "Hygrodere Jelly" which can double the price of that specific piece of scrap, at the cost of doubling it's weight and forcing you to hold it with two hands to prevent spilling. Doing so would also agitate the Hygrodere and make it become more aggressive, increasing in speed every time someone takes some jelly until it caps out at active Boombox speed. (maybe 3 scoops? I don't know what would be balanced, I'm not a game designer.)

I feel like adding in some form of incentive for interaction with some of the lesser dangerous monsters would add in some neat risk/reward dynamics and make them a little more interesting to come across in game. But what do you guys think?

this might be the best "monster loot" suggestion i've seen so far

Good idea, you started it off strong by saying "not braken, thumper or dogs".
Would be a nice risk-reward ratio if you had to chase the lizard or use a specific item to retrieve loot, not just kill everything you can.
