We need more "Survival" gameplay
Instead of "profit margins" make it more like cost of living margins so you are not forced out on day 3 and have to restart EVERY time. having to buy gas for the ship even if it's idle on the same planet. have to buy food for energy and such.
Add upgradable components. such as more inventory space, better stamina ETC.
Add adaptable moons. (if you go to the same moon over and over again, less and less loot will spawn as the moon is only so big)
maybe even add more "allied" entities. like you go to the moon, and randomly maybe instead of monsters its just all friendly people, but there is little to no loot as its a facility that wasn't run yet by the monsters.
ETC

You want to make this game starfield?

From what I could gather, the dev's focus seems currently aimed at increasing the game's replayability by expanding upon the already existing features ( which means more creatures, items, moons, etc. ).

Something akin to what you suggest might still happen.

Its not really repayable when you lose EVERYTHING on not meeting quota. if you kept the cosmetic stuff at least, AKA consider it inheriting whatever was in the ship, then I could understand.

I consider replayability more akin to the core gameplay loop: as in, going to a moon, searching for loot, evading dangers and finally making it back to buy new items to help you during your next adventures.

Your suggestion would detract from what the game is meant to be. The simplicity of the current game is exactly what was intended because the fun comes from watching other people die in hilarious ways. If you are not meeting quota just learn what the monsters are and how to deal with them and you will last a lot longer. You WILL lose eventually, just the nature of the game. Have fun.

The replayability comes from the randomness of this game.
And the focus on fun. Fun gameplay. Fun with friends.
Just pure fun without having to grind for stupid cosmetic stuff or whatever.

It sounds like you just want to play a different game.
