Text chat key not working?

When I press the / button on my keyboard it doesn't bring up the chat. I've tried pressing ALT at the same time and it still does nothing. I'm not sure if this is caused by my keyboard? The game doesn't have a key rebind option either so I can't chat with my teammates.

Any advice or solution for this?

UPDATE:

If you have a nordic keyboard you have to use the "-" key instead and it should work

Thank you, ive ben also asking others, but everyone was like its the slash "/" key. Not for me aparently.

I looked it up and google said the console in the ship should let you text chat ?
