Faster terminal use?

If I need to close a door because one of my teammates is about to die, I wouldn't mind if the animation was completely removed. The sooner I can type the smoother it feels in my opinion.

u can enter abbreviated words

If you type 'view monitor' on the terminal it will show the camera on the terminal screen so you can see the door, turret and mine codes and just type them without having to open/close the terminal.
The only problem with that is that you can't use your walkie talkie while at the terminal

While typing at the terminal? I would love to know how if you’ve got a way, but as far as I remember it basically unequips all items when you go to the terminal.
If you can then there’s little reason not to use the view monitor at all times

I think tater is referring to the delay when entering and exiting the terminal. There's a brief period while the animation plays where you can't do anything.

I don't view monitor anymore since 50% of the time it bugs out the terminal (unless that's been recently fixed).

Simply hold the (powered on) walkie before you interact with the terminal and you can use it normally with left click

summary:
- never leave the terminal if possible
- use "view monitor" to see the players on the terminal
- hold walkie-talkie while using terminal, you can use it, try it^^

and then just try and git gud
