It's possible for sure, but given the size of the dev team and how the game's still in early access, I doubt it's going to happen soon if it happens at all.

If it happened, it wouldn’t realistically be until next year. The other issue is that a mic is absolutely critical to play the game (which would mean lower quality on consoles realistically).

I like the idea, but they should separate the console version from PC

I want my friend to play with me, but she can't afford a PC right now, especially with how much she has to pay for rent, car-payments and college. She's not going to blow a couple of hundred dollars on a cheap, dogwater Desktop with an outdated GPU just to play 1 or 3 games either.

If she's going to get a PC, it's going to be a good one. This is the story for A LOT of people, and it was even my story at one point as well. (Up until I finally got one in 2017, and got a new one now in 2023)
With the amount of time it will take for her to be be able to afford something decent, the game(worst case scenario) will probably be abandon-ware and have lost it's hype. It's just the way things are

TL;DR: Because it's in higher demand than you might think, and it's not as easy or cheap to build a *good* Desktop as the PC-elitists have lead so many to believe

Small possibility but I don't think its supposed to work on controller if you hook it up to a computer

I doubt it would be cool though but most games like this are only available for pc sadly.
