controller support for the terminal?

I have a friend who uses steam deck and would be interested in this game, but doesn't want to have to use the steam virtual keyboard.

Will the terminal be updated to have a separate UI for controller-users to opt in to that could be navigated with joystick/dpad?

The following helps to alleviate (not eliminate) the UI problem to some extent...
I setup a left trackpad touch menu with commands which types common whole words:

buy
confirm
deny
route
info
help
space (space key)
enter (enter key)

you also don't have to type out the whole word for everything just the first 3 letters

Yes, true.
For me at least, the controller-only experience was poor enough that I refunded for now. Hopping to buy again if/when full controller support is added.
I'm sure it will eventually.

I know I'm jumping on this thread waaaay late but, I am in the process of making terminal commands for the steam deck / DS5 controllers. It is pretty comprehensive. I'm probably ~60% done now if anyone wants to check it out.
