I can't sprint jump

Hi !

I don't understand my problem and how to fix it.

When I press shift to sprint and press the spacebar, my character doesn't jump.

After some tries, I realized my character only sprint jump if I run backward. Which is not a good idea to do.


I tried to change my keyboards settings from azerty to qwerty but it didn't helped.


What can I do ? Thanks for your time everyone

I read its got something to do with wack keyboards. I'm using one of the $5 Dell keyboards maybe yall are also using cheap keyboards.

I had this same issue yesterday when I bought the game. Not being able to sprint jump made me realize that my keyboard was the issue. Changed it and it got solved.

Many people having the sprint jump issue makes sense since cheap keyboards sell a lot. And the one I was using when I had this problem was indeed a cheap one.

yup, literally a hardware issue, no issue with the game, use another keyboard

Same problem here. For whatever reason, that is an issue in cheap keyboards. But, there's a fix:

Change "Sprint" key in settings to "F" or whatever other key will be comfortable for you. Boom, now you can sprint-jump.

Interestingly, by default, you can sprint-jump with left shift key...

For me, it was Microsoft PowerToys Quick Accent. If you have PowerToys installed, go to

PowerToys settings -> Quick Accent -> Disable (or rebind)

Quick Accent Description:
"Activate by holding the key for the character you want to add an accent to, then press the activation key (space, left or right arrow keys) and an overlay to select accented characters will appear!"

The default key is set to all 3 . When I pressed W+Space in-game, it appeared for a split second above the Lethal Company window.

Right shift worked for me, when left shift didn't.
