I can't sprint jump

Hi !

I don't understand my problem and how to fix it.

When I press shift to sprint and press the spacebar, my character doesn't jump.

After some tries, I realized my character only sprint jump if I run backward. Which is not a good idea to do.


I tried to change my keyboards settings from azerty to qwerty but it didn't helped.


What can I do ? Thanks for your time everyone

Sounds like a bug, you'll probably just have to restart your game whenever it happens.

I played 16 hours split on different game and always had this issue

sounds like your keyboard might have ghosting issues if this happens in other games as well. if that's the case i think the only remedy would be getting a different keyboard

That sounds like a hardware issue, especially so if you can't do it across multiple games. Try using a different keyboard if possible, and if that doesn't fix the problem, then I'm all out of ideas.

This happens to me. I'm unable to perform any of the 'run n' jump' gaps. Whenever I'm FORCED to run and jump, i can do it sideways. Maybe it's my 240 hz monitor. If i manage to fix it I'll give yall an update. Mr. OP, if your monitor goes above 144 hz... that might be the issue

Btw the fact that me Wrigit, and Strahd are ALL having the same issue, on the same game, and not on other games just MEANS it's a real issue and not a hardware issue (unless the game doesn't support 240 hz monitors JUST LIKE fallout new vegas/3)

Just to be 110% sure it's not a ghosting issue, if you are having this problem, see if you can do the inputs for a sprint jump on this page[drakeirving.github.io]. Hold shift, hold down W, and then hold down space. If all three light up, we can rule out a ghosting issue.

this has been happening to me as well, can't input a jump while sprinting forwards (but backwards works). extremely weird and only started happening maybe 20 hours in

Is there a way to fix this - when I click left shift it also counts as right shift being hitten? How to fix?
