Shovel should do more damage than the signs.
You're paying money for it, it's not made out of aluminium sheets. It should do more damage. Not a super huge amount, but more than the base signs.

but you can keep shovel, if you die and it's in the ship it'll stay unlike the other signs which are technically loot. The big bonus is that the shovel is so much lighter, and the signs can be sold. It's pretty balanced already

Think damage is fine, I just want the hitting to be more accurate. When I'm aiming at a thumper my hits should not damage my crew mate like 5 meters away from me lol

Maybe they misread the 3 as an 8 because of the filter in game, I can see that happening.

Just kill a teammate with the basic shovel then throw teammates at the enemy for sacrifice.

I actually think it should be the other way around

If it weighs more, it should hit harder

(plus given how you cant just order signs on demand it would kind of balance out in a decent enough way)
