Escaping the sand worm

Any advice on escaping that thing?

I've tried dropping my ♥♥♥♥ and running, but it didn't really work, mfer is too fast

When the ground starts shaking beneath you turn around and run. I've even been able to backpedal out when I had no weight. Basically just be aware so that you have time to react I guess

Honestly I have never been able to survive it unless I reach an anti-worm spot like the ship, cabin, or terrain dead zones that the worm cannot target. I have seen others do it, but it just never works out for me.

That said it is one of the least likely monsters to kill you in spite of this. Jetpacks allow easy transfer of non two-hand objects to the ship with minimal risk and the teleporter can easily rescue any player before they would be eaten traveling along the ground.

The moment you see and hear those rumbles, you're supposed to rapidly backpedal. Whether or not it's possible, I don't know...I only encountered it once and didn't realize what it was.

This. just drop and run. lower the weight the higher chances of living.
