Modding Lethal Company (With Instructions)

OKAY OKAY, I have been seeing people complain about little things such as “fov” and “not being able to use number keys for your item slots”. Well do I have something to tell you, moooooddddddss exist! There are mods out there for both of those reasons, and there are many more mods that are great to have. The best mods are the ones that allow more than four players.

If you would like to download Lethal Company mods, then go to this website: https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company

Once you are there, click on the first pinned mod called r2modman. r2modman is a mod manager that you can use for many different games. The Thunderstore.io mod manager is also an option, but it is essentially the exact same thing just with ads, so r2modman is preferred.

Once you have downloaded that, run the installer and then you should be mostly good to go.

When the mod manager is open, you should search for "Lethal Company". Make a profile for it and download whatever mods you want.

A mod that I recommend installing is MoreCompany, this allows for more peeps to join your game.

Clicking the “edit config” button will show you the mod files that you get edit.

If you want your friends to have the same mods and mod configurations as you, then go to your mod profile, go to settings, and look for something along the lines of “export code”. Once you’ve done that, a code should pop up. Copy it and send it to your friends. They will then need to copy this, go into their mod manager, and go to lethal company and hit the button that says “import/update”. From there, they can choose whether they’d like to update an existing profile with that code or create a new one. After they click one of those options, then they need to select the “from code” button. They should paste the code and hit the button and boom they’ll install all your mods including any configuration changes you made to the mods.

i got you dude. CompatabilityChecker by Ryokune. If they also have CC, you'll be able to see what mods you don't have that they do.

Thanks everyone, couldn't just wait for the game to be updated or play it as intended so now those that don't want mods are struggling to find any lobbies.

Just uh.. Play with some friends. And if you don't have any of those, that's a real oof my guy.

friend group has this problem.
shouldn't have to have the mods on to join the lobby, it should be an in game toggle for the server settings. Either that or modded games should not show up at all for people who don't have modded games.

Hey so I have a question for LC modders, would anyone be down to make either of these 2 things into mods. One that makes the sound scrap bugs make when they are near a player go now you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, like the Mudcrabs mods for Skyrim, and another that makes spear of justice play when a brakken is near?

This discussion was meant to help people learn about modding the game and sharing the mods with friends, that was pretty much it. The game itself was not designed for controller support but it does indeed have some of it built in. The mods themselves however most likely do not have controller support. However, the only mods that I suppose would cause any issues with controllers are mods that require new keybinds. You can use Steam's controller configurations to try and fix that, but if that doesn't work then I'm sorry but I can't help you. Have a good day!

if you have a level mod like a custom interior, does only the lobby host need to change their config files if they want custom spawn rates? or do the configs need to match for every player in the lobby?
