Mic and Voice Chat Not Working

I have been having an issue where i can hear everything in game, except voice chat. I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me.
When I'm in the main menu it registers my microphone just fine, but upon entering a server it completely fails. I've tried PTT and changing mics but that also doesn't work

I saw a lot of people talking about this bug, or one like it, but nobody seems to have an answer to the problem. If anyone can point in the right direction that would be great, thanks.

Similar problem, can hear everyone via voice chat just fine, but my mic just doesn't work. Everything except my headphones and mic is disabled in windows and it even recognizes my mic in the game. But when talking it just doesn't light up and nobody can hear me.

In all other stuff like Windows, Discord, Teamspeak, Websites (google) etc. it works just fine. So it's definitely an issue with the game.

I have the same problem. I don´t know what happens but my mic doesnt work in some games, but in csgo it works.
It also works in discord, windows, etc... but ingame voice. NO

I've got the same issue. Can hear all in game sound and other player, but they can't hear me. Looks like its working fine in the settings.

Same thing with me. I can hear everything just fine, but no one can hear me. My mic is showing up for the input, but push to talk and voice don't work. Tried everything, but nothing seems to work.

Mine does show on settings, but doesn't take input (noise level doesn't go up).
I use an XLR to Jack through a phantom power.

I've read that some antivirus software could block usage of microphone on certain apps/software, maybe check that, i use windows defender so that didn't work for me.

hi guys, i had the same problem.
but i fixed it by installing the vcredistx64(Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable), I believe this will solve the audio voice problem!

I had this happen all of a sudden while I was in game and fixed it by alt tabbing back to the desktop, going to Windows > Settings > (windows key, type Settings) System > Sound > Scroll down to the Input section and click on the microphone you're using, then click "Don't Allow" beside the "Allow apps and Windows to use this device for audio" option, then clicking "Allow" again.
This seemed to reset audio while in game and I didn't have to quit the session.

This probably won't have fixed the underlying problem but at least it was able to get voice chat working again.

Got this problem too, but my mic works if I have Push to Talk on, it only doesn't pick up my mic if I have voice activation.

Are they close to you?

Vchat is proximity based.
