Removing the filter.

I generally just dislike the filter, and its just putting me off of buying a pretty interesting looking game, I'm wondering if there is a way to negate it or turn it off as it just makes the game look it is being rendered at a lower resolution and some parts look really smudgy.

the celshading that is super thick and low res, and the fact that there is just some weird dof effects that clash with it

it may be a hot take, and i often don't care about how a game looks, its just that when visibility is affected it turns me off

true, i mean i like retro looks in games (ultrakill being an incredible example), but that game still has excellent clarity while keeping the older style of games from the early 2000s, this just look like a weird amalgamation. like i said, gameplay seems cool but the graphics are just ehhh, i will likely just buy the game once it has a good sale sometime in the future

its intentional, without it is not intended play, high gamma ofsets it tho

Your graphics card most likely has an issue. I'm going to guess you have a 3080 (everybody always says they have a 3080) and it's been known to have countless problems when it comes to pretty much anything that isn't a Call of Duty game.

I wish they'd give the option to at least disable some parts of it, because on lower resolutions it becomes a lot more muddy

Vanilla res is 860x520p that is why it is looking like that.

Look up HDLethalCompany on thunderstore, resolution scaling, post processing, AA, fog, LOD, texture res and so on.
