Mic Not Detecting
I have an SM7B plugged into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and for some reason the game refuses to get levels from it.

I can confirm that no program is taking control of the mic, the settings in-game have the interface selected, my interface is selected as the default audio device on my computer, Lethal Company has permission to use my audio inputs and is using them while I have the game running. Setting the interface as the input device for the program while in-game does not work either. I've tried both admin and normal modes. I am getting levels from my mic in all my other software while playing the game, and exclusively with both this and the other software alone. It *does* accept my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ webcam mic when i toggle over to that though. I don't see what the problem could be.

So I figured out a workaround, basically have to send your focusrite input to a mixer software then set the mixer software as the input on lethal company. I used Voicemeter it is free. Might have to update your Focusrite Control to 2 or higher.
Got VoiceMeeter Banana to see if this would work for me but it doesn't seem to. I have VoiceMeeter Aux Output as my default communications device and only my mic on B2 (which i can confirm is getting levels, through both MME and WDM and with Discord) but the game doesn't pick it up. However, if I pass the VoiceMeter VAIO virtual input to B2 as well, I can get the game's own audio to register in-game, though that obviously doesn't help me. I may try some other software to see if that works.

I would upgrade to Focusrite Control 2 though it doesn't seem like it's advertised as being compatible with 3rd gen, which I have.

EDIT: Tried SteelSeries Sonar as well but no dice.

heyo! if you're using anything focusrite go into focusrite control, click the 3 dots, and combine inputs 1 & 2!! Worked for my friend and i'm hoping it'll help you all <3

i don't think focusrite control 1 has that from what i'm seeing, though i believe it already sums them by default on that version since the input name is Analogue 1 + 2. It's always summed it for me in other programs so i didn't figure there'd be any issue here.

Funny thing though, i just decided to swap my XLR to the other input and now it works. why does that make the difference when that other audio middleware didn't? no idea. just glad to be done with this ♥♥♥♥ on my end lmao

My fix was to move mic from input 2 to 1. Game doesn't detect that 1+2 is stereo signal

I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 with a Shure sm58 and switching the mic from input 2 to input 1 worked for me as well!
lol changing the mic from the 2nd input to the 1 worked for me too

I don't know who needs to read this but here it goes.

**What?**
You can select the device Focusrite through the game settings, but no sound is coming out of the voice indicator.

**Why?**
The game is only using Focusrite's channel 1. However, some models (i.e. 2i2) only have phantom power on channel 2 and I only have microphones that need phantom power.

**Solution**
You're going to need a third-party solution. You can install Voicemeeter Standard. Use the following configuration.

1. Set up input
On the [1] Hardware input column, select the Focusrite device. Click on the `mono` option.

2. Set up output
On the [A1][A2] Hardware out output, select Focusrite USB ASIO. Click on the `M` option on the left channel, in order to not hear yourself.

3. In the Lethal Company videogame settings, select the Voice Meeter device.

This will help you use the microphone with phantom power from channel 2 into the game.

Finally got a fix that worked for me. Dunno if anyone else has said anything similar but have a PreSonus audio box. Downloaded voice mod. Changed the settings in game to use that as the microphone. In total took about 5 minutes to set up and it was working like a charm.

I just had the same issue with my Audio Technica AT2035 XLR mic + Scarlet 2i4 2nd Gen interface. The solution was to simply change the input from Channel 2 to Channel 1 (so basically plug the XLR cable into the left instead of the right socket on your Scarlet interface). That solved the problem instantly.

The game seems to have a problem with detecting other channels of the audio interface, so if you have a similar issue, I suggest to give this a try.

So I had this same issue. I just got my scarlet solo today and using a Shure MV7 mic. After some reading, I tried the combining of inputs 1 & 2 and that didn't work on its own. Doing more reading I figured it couldn't hurt to try voice meter. Well whatever voice meter installed when doing the thing IT FOOKING WORKED. Somehow just installing the drivers and what not that came with voice meter made everything work.
I am not knowledgable enough to know what those drivers do exactly but whatever they did made Lethal pic up my voice again.
Maybe this solution can do the trick for someone else too.

My 4th Gen Scarlet Solo isn't working either.
