Lethal Company

So how do yall handle Coil-Heads?
Just have someone stare at it the whole time?

Yep. One need to stare at it the whole time or it disappears. Cant kill it or do anything else and its fast af. Its an IMPROTANT TASK and every VALUABLE Asset should be proud to do this task...

"A bright flash or loud noise MAY put the coilhead into a 'reset' mode, allowing a small window for escape..."

Stare at it, if it a facility map you can lock behind hydraulic doors with the terminal.
They are pretty meh as an enemy, it pretty much boils down to making other enemies more threatening while barely being threatening themselves.

I have automatonophobia so they are effectively unnerving for me but I worry they are underwhelming for most people due to their minimal threat, especially while players are in groups where they cannot easily ambush someone.

I think if you stare at it and back down a long hallway, you may be able to break contact if you sprint away and turn another corner very shortly after.
They're very fast but they don't teleport.

Haven't tested this but some people said it worked.

Retreat if I can toward main entrance and try again from fire exit. It's basically almost imposible to work with one around, as you can't look away more than a split second. Easy to get away in group, a real pain alone. If you have someone at computer and a walkie, you can bait one behind a lab door.

It seems flashbangs can give you some time, didn't try myself. Maybe loudhorn can work to, idk. Light seems to slow it a little but not much. Doors are quite random... sometimes it gives you a few seconds, sometimes the coil head just clip through it.

If you mean the airhorn, that thing doesn't do anything to it.
We gave one to one of our crewmates and he kept honking it at everyone, including the coilhead at point blank.

to escape the facility, you have to lure it to one side of the room so you can have it on screen while holding E to leave.

They almost always show up with a snare flea or something in my experience. Never had one just be the threat, their always the sprinkles on the crap sundae, so i strongly disagree lol their consistently horrifying (although the bracken still makes me poop more every time i see it)
