im disapointed by the reverse teleporter and radar booster, and heres why
im honestly really disappointed by the boosters and their interactions with the teleporters.

boosters:
  1. cost 50$ for a security camera that can make a noise
  2. are heavy and have to be manually deployed
  3. are heavy and have to be manually recovered
  4. dont actually boost your radar range or increase radar quality
  5. and despite being able to lock onto it, you cant teleport it in either teleporter

num 5 is the big one that bothers me a lot.

imagine how truly useful these would be to 'mission control' players if you could just use the reverse teleporter to blind yeet them at the start of the job and the regular teleporter to recover them back at the end of the job.

it wouldnt even be overpowered because the inverse teleporter has a 5 hour cooldown!

when i originally heard about the reverse teleporter i thought it was like a way to throw a small item to someone in the field, like sending them a key or a walkie.

i gotta say im disappointed with getting the ability to blindly yeet yourself into no mans land instead of something that could help out the field team.

overall these new items just feel like a missed opportunity to me...

agree, even the small change like allowing it to be teleported back would greatly boost the usability

Honestly, letting the booster function with both teleporters would be real neat. My crew are still tryin to figure out the best way to use the lil thing but it's so cumbersome.

The inverse teleport is broken what are you on about? Being able to be warped into the facility with the only things able to potentially kill you are gravity and turrets since nothing has spawned in yet is nuts. You can easily grab a ton of loot too since you aren't holding anything. You can easily get out with 300+ value in stuff before any enemies even spawn in if you get lucky to spawn next to a door. The only risk is you dying to being lost or getting warped into a room that you can't escape from. This is 100% mitigated by a normal teleporter and a decent camera man. There's almost no draw back to using it compared to the potential value it puts out. I honestly think it should be nerfed.

Radar-booster is more of efficiently used if you're planning to enter back the facility with it on AND with your friend well watching you.
Due to its ability to not only watch your flanks (by placing it down and your friend watching that camera and you periodically), it can also lure by making noise OR (my personal favourite) the flash command, working like a stun grenade or a stun gun.
It blinds both you and the creature, but does not hinder your hearing, therefore the situation could look like this:
- You are carrying the device inside, having it on and planning to retrieve 2 or so items.
Having the radar-booster and a walkie in your inventory.
- You encounter a coil-head, oh no! How do I make peace with it and bolt it to where it doesn't know where I am?!
- Looking at it (or establish a "red dot near, flash" system with your crew) page in that you need a flash for that being, then your friend would type "flash <name>", thus immobilizing the coil-head as if it's flashed, while your friend pages in directions to walk out of the room.

Another scenario, more lethal and detrimental for your save-
We all had those forest keepers on Vow, just making it a pain to move the loot to the ship.

Carry Billy (that said radar-booster).

When the forest keeper is grabbing you, having it held, your friend SHOULD KNOW that stationary crew member and billy in hand, in front of a huge red dot, is not good, and flash billy the hell out of that computer, releasing you.
(Very useful if you don't have a teleporter bought, looking at the price.)
But also, the teleporter takes time, but also, you gotta pray your friend is a fast-typer.

There is no peace to good use, but many items and all of them, have useful features that either serve as an alternative, or as that essential tool for MANY and MANY scenarios.
