I do know that the bracken seems to be sensitive to the airhorn if you can find it in the facility, just spam it and it will leave you alone long enough to run out.
Otherwise idk. My team's strategy for the bracken is to avoid its room and travel in groups of 2. Even then it's pretty tough to survive without a stun grenade or zap gun

Definitely recommend reading it as Bracken are not very intuitive.
Again, just seeing it, even right behind you is enough. I had a time where I litterally turned around as he was about to kill me. I saw him crouch walking behind me at litterally one meter. I ran away and it didn't follow.
Take the habits of quickly checking behind you at each corner you get pass, and every few seconds when in a wide area/log corridor. It will save your life against brakens and coil heads. If you know for sure there is a braken, increase frequency of backward checks.
But yeah generally if you know there is a Bracken around, keep an eye out. As they will "hunt" you down and snap your neck. But looking at them briefly makes them back off. I just read the wiki link, sort of scary you could get f'd by RNG and have it rage rather quickly.
But it adds to the charm of the game that not everything has the same "behavior" quite refreshing
I didn't realize his anger meter only drops when hes in an angry state. So every glance you make at him to get him to run away, increases the anger, and increases the odds he will attack.
