Question About Jump Scare

Is it actually scary?
I am interested in the game, but I don't like jump scare.
How scary is it?

It's quite oppressive. Are you fine walking longs coridors with low light and zero noise except for your steps and vents cracking and oppening, knowing that something can silently creep behind you and break your neck ? Cause it will happen a lot in this game.

Are you fine walking backward alone in the darkness, trying to find the way you came from without looking behind you, because if you look away more than half a second, the monster chasing you will rush and kill you ? Cause it will also happen at some point.

Do you like ghosts stalking you ? And at some point crawling toward you ?

It's this kind of horror.
But most of the time, nothing happens of course, because the monsters didn't spawn... yet...

But with teammate, even randoms, it's quite a fun game.

Its not so scary with friends. I don't like jump scares but this game is a ton of fun.

There are no scripted encounters in this game, so there are no traditional "jump scares" in that sense. Things may startle you, but it won't be something that just pops up in your face because you hit a certain trigger volume.

There's nothing that's meant to be a jumpscare. Other than you might randomly have your neck cracked or a monster snuck up behind you and slammed you in the ground and it catches you off guard.

I've come across the garage door suddenly closing halfway (Experimentation moon on main entrance),
there are a few scripted scares at least.
