Increased levels of Radiation
Is there actual radiation levels that I have to be aware of that could kill me or is there nothing implemented for it yet? because sometimes I've held on to the apparatus for a while and nothing happens.

No it just means someone unplunded the apartus, so you know there is no light inside anymore

It seems to make several monsters fear the player who pulled it

ive noticed more spawns once i pulled it

I don't know why, but I assumed that it meant the coilhead was spawning after the apparatus or something because it says that they emit radioactive particles
But mechanically there's no radiation to fear

I could be wrong but I think radiation is basically the probability of a monster spawning. So the higher the radiation, the higher the chance a monster will randomly spawn. So pulling the apparatus will likely make the place more dangerous over time.

it just means more creatures spawns then

Dunno where people get that it increases spawn rates and whatnot. It just turns off the power in the facility so the computer guy can't open/close doors or disable turrets/mines. Also the side effect of all the lights in the facility turning off.

A quick google search will tell you what ya'll need.

It's understandable why people would think it ups the spawns as it opens security doors, so previously trapped monsters are now free.

Computer guy can't shut doors, but he can still disable Turrets/Mines after the Apparatus is pulled as they're not connected to the Facility's power grid. I've done it in several games.

thanks for the info

it tells the rest of the crew that lights and apparatus are out and more monsters will begin spawning

Don't the blob things increase in size when the apparatus is pulled? Due to increased radiation I think and of course all the lights are out and closed doors are open.

according to the lethal company wiki:
"Once taken from its socket, the lights within the facility will flicker, terminal-operated doors will be opened, followed by all Power shutting off permanently, with a warning sent to all players about increased radiation levels. This radiation has no effect on the player.

On top of that, once disconnected, there is a 70% chance that the minimum amount of entities spawned will be set to 2 for the next spawn cycles. Turrets and landmines remain active and can still be temporarily disabled with the ship's console as normal."
