has anyone found a way to fill the batteries slots on the bomb?

If i recall correctly you can't do anything with it at the moment, it's planned content.

Purely speculating now, they look like they'd get slotted with the "Apparatus" power cells from the looting runs. Maybe a key for the pedestal?

My friends and I tried to bring some batteries to the machine, it seems to have different slots for everything, we speculate that its a drill to get INTO the wall

Isnt it a submarine? The entire planet is water besides the rig the company is on?

there's a pretty high chance it's a laser drill of sorts. If ya look at the wall of the company which the "drill" bit faces, you'll notice a yellow circle painted onto the surface. Indicating that to be the target this weird contraption is aiming for. Possibly the dev is planning to add an "end" to the game of sorts involving cutting/blowing up the wall and entering the company

Maybe it's a time machine to go back one day in the past to try to reach the goal, it's just my theory

On first look yeah but i believe its a drill due to the logs and how curious sigurd was to know what was behind the walls. we will see.
