radar booster what is this thing's purpose

is this thing supposed to do something cuz like it just makes a noise if u ping the name. if its used as a marker then idk why that would be useful cuz like if you have an operator then they can guide you to a place via like discord or walky talky otherwise then this is a waste of 50 bucks

im pretty sure it's used to distract giants but they never hear it so if the volume and range was turned up it might become a lot more useful

Giants use sight, not sound. So you're not going to distract them with that. However, if you meant dogs ~ you are absolutely correct.

I was so hopefully that we could teleport it since it can be targeted but it does nothing. Kinda sucks to have to place it and bring it back.

I can see it being very useful to place inside of the entrances and emergency doors to monitor the status and creatures around

and the ping can be very handy when everyone is lost and you can ping to nudge your team in the right direction

You can activate and place it near exits. Each radar booster has a name that you can ping via the terminal. It will play a loud noise when done. This can help you or your crew find the exits when placed near it.
