Idk how you'd track their battery though, might need a new UI element.
A lot of the ideas on here seem to lean toward making the game easier.
Having more expensive items that make the game easier isn't always a bad thing. It gives you something to works towards and a sense of progression. Worst case you just re-balance the game around the new items.
A head mounted torch would be a great idea imo. Or even just remove the pro-flashlight and replace it with a headmounted one. (And replace the useless basic flashlight with the pro-flashlight. My god it's worthless)
I'd also like to see a backpack that gives you 2 more slots or something. 4 inventory slots is fine early on. But late game it's just more tedious than anything.
this is my fear right now. played with friends last night, all of us new. Played a bit over 2 hours and had fun, we eventually had a bad run and died.
Then everything's gone. So there's no progression or tangible point to it. I definitely need some progression or I don't think that it'll have a lot of staying power.
The bag doesn't seem too bad actually. Easily balanced by the fact that it does nothing to mitigate the pounds of extra weight you hold and lemme tell you nothing scares someone more than slow walking with 100+ lbs during rain, or stormy weather, or during an eclipse, or past 1pm, or literally anytime you're on assurance.
