I hope not. It's a lot of fun having to kill them in awkward ways. It's kinda like how in subnautica you aren't allowed to have actual weapons.

just because guns getting added doesn't mean you would do enough damage to kill big things, it could just slow the creature down for a couple minutes and let you work around some enemies that normally force you to end the scavenging trip.

not to mention you need to pull the gun out, make the gun c0cking action and gun safety switch manual so people might forget and couldn't fire it.

bullets should be expensive too if they ever decide to add guns in

false sense of security and a horrible death with a gun you didn't have a chance to use sound fun to me

The developer should add a gun, but it does absolutely nothing against enemies and they just laugh it off. Haha hoho hehe funny.

Maybe as a defense against a specific type of enemy, but other than that I don't see a need for it. Half of the fun of the game is being so vulnerable. If anything they should add something that makes stealing from circuit bees less hellish. Maybe a smoke grenade that calms them down for a short period of time.

Guns would be a great thing to have in a game like this but only if they are implemented more as tools instead of weapons. They'd be for killing soft, typically non-lethal things like spiders and flies, but tougher things would only temporarily retreat or get pissed or even do nothing at all (coilheads, turrets, etc. immune).

I like the idea of it being possible to kill some/most enemies, but I don't think it should be easy. Maybe relatively easy if it is one of the small bugs, but managing to bring down one of the larger monsters should be an epic struggle or an amazing fluke that still carries a mortality rate unless you get very lucky.

i don't like the idea of a gun because if you make it weak then it's lame, but if you just make it a real gun then it'd be too powerful, i'd rather throw scrap at enemies

have seen people say you can just bonk spiders, thumpers and brackens to death in like 3-5 hits (assuming you don't die)

You can. I was doubtfull before, but if you manage to climb on a railing they can't reach you so you can bash them to death with shovel or stop sign, relatively easily ( yet still stressful for every one )

I did kill like four thumper and two spider this way yesterday.
As for brackens I doubt the railing is enough to keep you out of reach.
