Steam Deck Microphone Issues

Is anyone playing this on steam deck? My friend is trying to play with us but she's using a steam deck and her microphone doesn't work. Either we hear the game audio through her mic, it echos and goes super high pitched, or theres no input. She tried using old apple headphones and those didn't work, and we couldn't get it to work using my sennheisers either. The microphone input options in game are Filter Chain Source, Monitor of ACP/ACP3x/ACP6x Audio, ACP/ACP3x/ACP6x Audio Coprocessor, Pulse Audio, and Monitor of ACP/ACP3x/ACP6x Audio ( a different one which shows levels of game audio). I hope this was enough info for someone to find the answer :)

I have a similar problem, however, my microphone does not work at all. It doesn't matter if it's in headphones or internal. I've tried changing versions of the system but it doesn't help. I also don't want to do a factory reset due to installed games (almost 1TB of games)

Hi, I have the same issue, not only with this game but also with the Discord app. My microphone stopped working after an update and it only works when I call someone on Steam...

We couldn't get the game voip to work through any of the internal mics that show up to choose from in game, but we did get it to work through USB headphones, but we had to make sure the headphones were plugged in before we started the game. We plugged them in while the game was running the first time, and the headphones didn't show up in game, but we restarted the game and they were there. We're having mic echo problems like crazy, though.

I figured it out after having the same issue and the fix is SO dumb but here's what made it work for me.
press the "..." button
go to the quick settings tab and go to the mic volume slider
max that B**** out, if it echos try gradually reducing the volume

Now the game should detect the internal mic input

My problem has been solved by updating SteamOS to 3.2.7

J'ai trouvé le truc il faut en jeu et tu appuies sur tab et Shift en même temps tu vas dans paramètres et audio tu regarde bien que ton micro sois en usb mais pas en acp...

What "..." button, what menu?

I can't get any microphones to work despite the game saying it's detecting audio input from the headset I'm using, which works on Discord.

i use a deck and have no audio problems in this game, but do have some in sotf. The problem i have in this game makes it unplayable, as I can't left click or stop sprinting
