Is this game perma death/Is it a rogue like?

I prefer games where you can build up on progress and don't have perma deaths.

How is it handled in this game when you don't meet your quota or die?

there is no in-between run progress at the moment except the bestiary (data on monsters you scan) i'm pretty sure

you respawn, in orbit, as long as you meet the quota.

If everyone on the Team dies you lose all the Scrap onboard your ship at the moment which kinda sucks, but as long as one person lives you only get a fine that is 20% of your current Funds* per Person who died, unless you collect their corpse.

*Not the Current Profit but the actual funds you have to spend on equipment

Perma death means rogue like. Rogue lite gives you progress between runs

you are revived every day, but when you miss quota all your "progress" resets

You revive and keep all the stuff in the cabinet on your ship but if you fail to meet quota you lose it all except your new found skill
