Car repair

How can i repair a car? it says it needs a repair kit in the inventory, but i cant find one. Do i need to craft one ? or find one ? Would be awesome if i can drive.

Top left Merchant had one if I remember correctly.

hey i had the same Problem...
I can´t finde a repairkid for Cars...
I was at the trader in the middle of the smal island where the Charaskters spawn, but there is nothing...
And witch one left you mean?

i found a car repair kit at the trader on the left side of the map in t he middle. not the top left one.

the merchant sw of the airpart has car repair kits as well and not sure but each merchant is a different vendor of different items.skillss

Each kit does a 50% repair. So grab a couple for a complete repair.

Coupled with the information above, here is a map which was previously posted (not mine) which contains relative information.

I initially had issues trying to figure out how to actually repair a vehicle and this is what I had done:

- Purchase a Car Repair Kit from Trader (late game you can craft your own)
- Find a vehicle to repair
- There is a small, white sedan (looks like a 1998 Toyota Tercel) near starting area
- Found a truck on the road towards the entrance of the airport (this is closest to trader)
- Open trunk of said vehicle; this is the vehicle's inventory
- Place fuel in the fuel slot (within the truck itself)
- Place Car Repair Kit in the inventory
NOTE: Near the top of the inventory screen, you will see the vehicle's health 0/100
- Click on the double arrows or a wrench icon (I forgot what it looks like and going off of memory but it's going to be next to the 0/100)

That /should/ solve the issue regarding vehicular transport.

Found the trader, bought the 2 kits, walked back to starting area, fixed car, loaded up car to full with fuel. Driving back to base, get stuck under railroad road bar, which starting dinking me 10% repair each second, until my car was undrivable. Funny how a bar that the car didn't even touch, completely ruined my drive, and in RL would break up in splinter (wood or fiberglass). Stuck without a vehicle for now.. Also that truck was NOT at the airpark for me.

There's an automatic save when exiting the game normally. Do manual saves in game when in a good position like just prior to that drive. If you get messed up close the game using task manager. Upon reload you'll be at that good position.

You should try to "Restore Archive" and roll back your autosave by one or two; you'll lose some progress but at least you will have your car back.

I found the brown truck in the entrance to the hotel parking lot in the small coastal town n/e of the map. i repaired it and then nearly broke it trying to get away from all the zombies.... Now I need to wait 10 days and see if the merchant has more repair kits....

I know this will necro the post; buuuuut...

Did this feature get removed? We followed the steps, put the car repair kit into the trunk, and there's no repair option anywhere in the vehicle. The hood is smoking, even after putting all the components into the vehicle.
