@oldgrunt, from testing it seems if he has it set as "friends only" then he has to send invites from within the game. If the server is public, you should be able to see it in the "Join Game" list.

They will not give us dedicated server tool for a long time if they do one day.

For those not paying attention......

In a different thread it was asked about Dedicated Server and the developer replied that it was not planned in the short term. This then was followed by a bunch of people complaining.

In a new thread (this one) it was asked if there were plans for Dedicated Server and the developer replied that there are plans.

Considering getting the game. I would say consider game balance. Maybe make a party system like that of many of the BR's or even R6S and then limit the party size. On the few Survivals I played, teams get overwhelming overloaded and just make a server unenjoyable.

Yes, I along with about 12 friends would like to see Dedicated Server files available to the public/game owners so we can buy the game and host our own 24/7 server with total control and above spec hardware with machines we already own.

Meaning not just releasing the server files to server host companies like G-Portal and others. This only forces everyone to have to rent from these hosting companies with limited game control and configuration along with minimal hardware, specs and service.
