and based on that I can get a general idea of what to expect potentially from their next release of this type of game...
as with typical early access... the early stages are the buggiest.... in terms of bugs i'd say the first one was the worst at the early stages and below zero was less buggy early on... so i'd say it will be in a state similar to below zero or better.... like the first one seemed like they might have put it into early access a little too early... second one was more planned out...
as far as content goes... they tend to do it in stages.... like full story isnt gonna be there in early access.... just a bit here.... a little more progression there.... and so on... and even when it comes to trying to figure out next mystery they have it set up in a way its like easter eggs and red herrings to keep people guessing... even people who try to use wall hacks to see into areas their not supposed to can get thrown off the trail or cause more questions than answers... ive seen a lot of theorycrafting videos for both games during early access and it was interesting to watch
so im predicting that the early access for this game is gonna be a little more meat when it kicks off since they have had 2 other games of same type under their belt.... and less buggy.... but still some issues.... there will be a lack of story at first with pretty much chapters released here and there alongside any bug fixes up till 1.0.... but i'd imagine the last leg of the story wont occur till 1.0...
but their updates in previous games also provided new features alongside story... so even if you burn out from playing.... a new patch or two down the roadmap will be enough to probably get you wanting to come back in and try out the new content... and with this one even having a "delay" till early access is probably a good sign that they are making sure it has a good early access launch... their not rushing and taking their time for a good early access launch
that said.... personally im gonna buy this game in early access when it launches.... seeing the world in this game slowly changing through early access is quite a sight I think.... from the general layout... to the creatures and such it is a interesting evolution...
but if your on the fence of if its worth it or not... i'd say wait a few days or longer and wait for gaming youtubers to "dive" (hehe) into the game and show off some of whats in there before you make your choice...
I know right!
Right! So that's why it makes sense to buy during early access if you think it's a game you're very likely to buy anyway, support the devs during development, then either play it or wait until it's out for full release.
*soon is an undetermined amount of time.
Thank you!!!
I'm really looking forward to it.
Even another teaser trailer would be great. The first was a work of art in its own right.
At least we know its less than 8 months away
