Also I wanna explore more of Arva Shulan (because it wasn't nearly enough in first game) and maybe the whole utawarerumono world.
I would like to see some slightly more polished gameplay, though. I felt like the game's difficulty was really balanced just right on release... but people complained about it being too hard, and so they made the game much easier and adjusted XP gain in a way that makes it impossible to not be overlevelled, and now the game is so easy you don't even have to learn how combat works. I'd rather the difficulty in the sequel be more like the game's original release, but add an Easy mode for people who don't like it, and add the ability to switch (or at least decrease) the difficulty at any time.
Also, while the ring mechanics are cool, normal battles are over fast enough that you often don't even have the chance to use them. It'd be neat to have more abilities that take advantage of that; for example, they could have special attacks that do damage and have a side effect of boosting a character into an enemy ring or dropping an enemy into a lower one, or passive abilities/equipment that change which ring a character starts in, or attacks that deal high damage but boost the enemy. As it is, boss fights (at least, any that are difficult because you're not massively overleveled) are just a matter of using circle dance and stunning enemies until your characters are in the inner ring, then sitting there for the rest of the fight.
I think Monochrome Mobius 2 will take place after MoT events. The first game introduced story unrelated to Mask's one and Shunya made prophecies about Mask's events. So now our remaining heroes, Mika and Mune (and I hope Anju travelling with them) can find Shunya's pictures and realize what those mean. And, lets say, if Shunya drew anything else, maybe some horrific pictures, they could now understand that it's not just pictures but prophesies and bad events are approaching so they need to try to change the future or something. At least that way I think it would make more sence to introduce Shunya's abilities.
Vurai and Oshtor infiltrate Arva Shulan together and we get to see their relationship sour.
Arva Shulan party members.
More build variety. In Monochrome Mobius the equipment have effects, but stat wise you only really have two choices at any given time, as anything older than one upgrade has too low stats.
Better music. 100 tracks but I can only remember 5 of them.
I do like your idea, but honestly I expect Mobius 2 be just continue this young Oshtor and Mikazuchi as they now have to deal with Sunya turning to some goddess of prophecies. So many Aztec style names picked in this game and references to Aztec culture. I do wish you guess is right and they would do a huge time skip passing the MoD and MoT storylines. Honestly even from selling point that would almost force people to play those games to catch up what happened between.
If my guess is correct and they will stay in this sequel time period. I really wish they would go back to Utawarerumono story and progress that. I want adult Anju and rest of them, Kuon should still be alive too, honestly I am very certain fans want to go back to those characters more.
Ps. Answered only now as had to finish Mobius first before replying anything. Was a fun ride, although not as good as Uwarerumono games and I miss the turn based strategy style for the battles more.
Who knows, but if you buy it then chances of your hope (which is mine hope as well) to become reality are guaranteed to increase a bit.
