Deck Verified but black screen on start.

I noticed this game got verified but whenever I launch it on my Steam Deck all I get is a perpetual black screen. I have tried verifying the game files and the proton files but that didn't help. Using stable release of the deck software.

I'd like to confirm that I also had this problem. I tried contacting support and they said to post on the steam deck forums. It would be nice to get the issue addressed or the "verified" checkmark removed.

I have the exact same issue, odd that his game has a verified check mark but literally does not launch on deck. I will say the game does work on deck if you switch to desktop mode and run it.

Had the same issue and got it to work. What I did was:

1) Install the Committee of Zero patch: http://sonome.dareno.me/projects/coz-linux-deck.html
2) With the patch, the game starts via a custom launcher. In it, uncheck fullscreen before launching the game.

I suspect that you can also get the game to work without the patch by launching it in desktop mode (where it works) and enabling windowed mode in the settings there, then quit and return to gaming mode. Maybe someone else can confirm this.
