Fixed:
- Soft crash on systems set to region settings other than US English. Note that the fix that is currently in place is a temporary fix that enforces US English styles to all input/output. This will apply to how numbers are displayed (1.34 instead of 1,34 and 1,500 instead of 1.500) as well how dates are displayed (standard US format is MM/DD/YYYY). I will be implementing a more correct fix for region settings in the future so that output is shown in your correct format, but I wanted to at least fix the major error as quickly as possible.

Really like it, how do I put new armor and weapons on? Not seeing inventory? Just stats and achievements.

Fixed:

Enemies not following proper attack speed rules
Spell cooldown icons are not swapping out to correct icon
Player sometimes get hits with two attacks on one swing
Shield status icon doesn't disappear when shield goes away due to damage.
Arcane Shield effect does not go away when shield health is below 0.
Arcane shield FX disappearing before it actually expires (when timing out).
Keys (unused) being counted as items lost at death/quick exit screen.
Slayers are boring. Make them more exciting (see below).
Several side quests not properly spawning enemies.
Several cases of old (temp) tree models still in use.
Status effect icons bugged and only shows one effect at a time.

Balance Adjustments:

Slayers given two new abilities: Acid Pool, which drops a growing pool of acid at their feet, causing damage over time while the player is in it, and Massive Strike, a jumping attack that causes damage + stun if the player is in melee range when they land.
(Very) slightly increased damage of enemies to account for reduction in damage output after fixing bug that caused player to sometimes take damage twice from one enemy swing.

Additions:

Several new side quest templates added for Rojaik, Inesti and Negrin.

Major Known Issues:

Master of None Talent is currently broken. I have figured out what it is broken, and I think I have it fixed, but need to test internally more extensively to make sure that I don’t break anything else.

Added:

Shields: Shields give a big armor bonus when you are blocking (right click / aim view button). They will completely negate all but the most powerful blows. However, when you are blocking, you cannot attack, cast spells or sprint. Obviously, you can only equip shields with 1H weapons (swords, axes, daggers).
Pop ups to show the names of key locations, such as towns, portal dungeons,shrines, etc.
Several new side quest templates for quests originating in Rojaik, Brenzi and Negrin

Fixed:

Robes not loading correct skin and failing over to the same skin of the armor that was equipped before.
Return to Main Menu button on Mission Briefing too narrow.
Mushroom Cave (north of Orhei) light zone broken
Ghost of a Chance button broken on death screen
Soft crash on bone remapping when switching between robes and armor
Several side quest templates have an extra ‘s’ after the *TargetFaction* causing output to be something like “witchess”
Navmesh northwest of Inesti has a hole that can cause NPCs to spawn into the hole and be stuck.
Navmesh hole in Shifting Halls portal dungeon caused by phasing at boss room
Framerate issues in Imperial Temple (occlusion culling bug)

Game-breaking bug with non-EN regional settings

Hello ! I just want to raise up an issue. When using a non-English regional setting (my native country's one), the main menu appears hugely bugged and the game is unplayable. Here's a screenshot to give you an idea : https://ibb.co/gFRsc8k (This is on entering the game, I didn't even click to delete anything, and none of these buttons work) I just tried switching to EN locale, and everything works as intended. I can't seem to locate the game log file so I'm unable to provide more details about that...

First, I apologize for not communicating earlier. I've been insanely busy, but I wanted to give an update on the state of Askaya. To say that sales have been disappointing is an understatement of epic proportions. Sales have been almost non-existent. Probably a combination of factors, including the state that the game made it's early access release (which was not quite what I wanted) and the massive flood of indie games that are releasing on Steam. The store page says that Askaya is an RPG, which implies not only the choice how to kill things better, but also talking to things before or instead of doing so. Will there be any role-play options in dialogues (that are not related to the map generation)? Will there be a several hand-crafted campaigns, alongside the RNG'ed ones?...

For a while I have been searching for games where I could play as an evil character without a party and bring down the genuinely good people who want to save the world (probably from me). I noticed the story has randomly generated components and your planned magic system has evil magic too. Does this game allow this kind of playstyle, or is it more like traditional rpg storylines where a nobody forms a party to save the world or something of that sort?
