I draw the line at characters wiggling their ass directly into the camera. RC is a nice client that does a lot of things I like, but I am finding myself increasingly put off by how each new costume seems to be hornier than the last. It's just too much, and I'm at the point where I'm strongly considering dropping RC and sticking to Soul. 2. STEINS;GATE Characters Limited-Time Gacha

Event description: Collab characters Makise Kurisu (CV: Imai Asami), Shiina Mayuri (CV: Hanazawa Kana), Amane Suzuha (CV: Tamura Yukari) and Okabe Rintaro (CV: Miyano Mamoru) will be introduced to Riichi City. Strengthen your ties with them through mahjong matches!
During this period, players can also draw the following exclusive decorations: Winning Animation - World Line Convergence, Riichi Animation - Gear of Time, and Riichi Stick - Divergence Meter.

9. Weekly Top Player Ranking Adjustments
(1) New ranking period: Rankings will be updated in real-time from 05:00 Monday to 04:59 the following Monday (UTC+9).
(2) New reward schedule: 4P and 3P ranking rewards will be sent at 05:00 every Monday (UTC+9).

10. Local Yakus Available in More Game Modes

(1) Friendly Match - Chinitsu Challenge: Enable Local Yakus in this mode for extra fun!
(2) Custom Tournaments: Enable Local Yakus in the Advanced Rules page (before the Minimum Han option) for extra fun! The original Renhou option will be removed, and players can only achieve Renhou after they enable the Local Yakus option.
(3) Note: Renhou will be considered as a Local Yaku in Chinitsu Challenge. If players choose not to enable the Local Yakus option, their hand will not be counted as Renhou, even if they meet the required conditions.

11. After the update, the Daily Tournament opening animation (spotlight animation) will only play during the first matchmaking of each login and won't appear again until the next login.

12. Players will be able to export Custom Tournament match data in either CSV or XLSX format.

13. Modification on the Chiihou description in the Yaku & Han section.

14. Other optimizations.

Riichi City is the newer, flashier mahjong platform competitor to Mahjong Soul. It doesn't deserve the hate that it gets here on Steam (the reviews on mobile stores are way better) and it does almost everything better than MajSoul imho.

Pros:
+ You can analyze your matches in-game with AI so you can study where you could play better and you can download the logs if you want;
+ You can highlight Tsumogiri tiles easily to understand how to defend better;
+ The loading times are faster than it's competitor's;
+ The game is prettier;
+ There are many modes to play and in-game tournaments that give rewards;
+ There are many events all the time and collabs (previously it had a Danganronpa Collab, and now it has a Steins Gate one. Pretty good);
+ The ranked system is similar to real life mahjong;
+ There's a lot of customization to characters, tables, riichi sticks, BGMs, etc;
+ You can get more affinity points with your character just by playing the game. You can't do that at all in MajSoul, just by gifting them;
+ The tutorial is good for new players (most coming from Yakuza just like me).

Eh:
+/- It has a gacha system for pulling characters which you don't need to participate at all, it doesn't give you any advantages because you're still playing Mahjong. The rates are horrendous but it's still better than MajSoul and there are more quests to reward you;
+/- This is a personal one for me but the game is so damn horny. There are many costumes to characters that make them shove their asses and huge bazongas on your face. It would be a negative for me BUT you can disable other players costumes by activating family mode in options, so you can play this game in public without feeling like a stinky weeaboo.

Negatives:
- It has less players than it's competitor's. It's a HUGE downside but it's slowing getting more and more active players.

Overall Riichi City is the best way to play Riichi Mahjong digitally and if you're interested you must give it a try. Mahjong is the best "old" tabletop game in my honest opinion and one of the best of all time. It's not all luck, there are so many nuances that makes me appreciate the game fondly.

Does anyone here (the moderators included) know what the "Test Progress 20/24" part on that recent Stein's Gate event means? When I first took the test it said 10/24 afterwards, now that I got a perfect score is says 20/24. What, if anything, is there left to do? I shared it as well if that matters....

is the +60% gacha a trick?

Under the odds of winning, it always says the promoted gacha is 60% instead of the usual 5%. But over the months of putting tickets into the promoted gachas I still never won. So.. what does the 60% mean? I have to be misunderstanding it.
