Better get good now than later.
Roll around and charged bowspam :)
Worked perfectly at first try at Master Sp[rit Guide difficulty after getting downed to almost dead because I sipped tea expecting a cutscene rather than immediate sword to the face...
Jump up for slowmotion for easy aiming, and fully charge to farm Courage. When in danger Rot Arrow/Hammer to break boss combo. (Later on Bombs works as well, you can just stick them preemptively and blow up boss mid-charge)
If you feel feisty, and learned boss combo length, you can roll away to dodge then quickly back for some cheasy staff bonks.
And do NOT buy (all) Charmstones. There is not enough Karma in single playthrough to unlock both ability upgrades and charms.
There's also Parry mechanics, but window is rather short and with lengthy attack animations its a bit hard to get it perfect. Especially on underwhelming hardware (like Steamdeck).
