There's some spots where you have to control the Rot and yourself and it can be a bit unusual with keyboard and mouse (never tried it on gamepad so I'm not sure how it is there) but it still works. Besides that, there's no drawbacks to keyboard/mouse I can think of.
Dont know how steam forums work as this is my first, but if you see this Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it!!!
I finished the game with KBM. I'm bad with controllers. There's some issues with mouse sensitivity. Luckily it can be fixed in a .ini file. I also have to remap some keys for my preferences too.
You can learn to fight with a controller. For some challenges I needed to change to Mouse and Keyboard because my aim is a mess with controller and I am not quick enough.
I would say: Use Mouse and Keyboard.
It's excellent for me. Fully rebindable too.
-dodge Mouse 4 (you be using this a lot, trust me)
-heavy mouse 5
-aim right click
-run shift (not essencial, but quality of life).
I played with a controler when I sailed the seven seas when it launched on Epic, now that is on Steam I tried with M&K and found it better. Aiming with the bow will be essencial.
