Its not playable for me because of the fps drops
RTX 3060 TI
:(( *sigh*
Ran 4k max settings. Fps mostly stayed at 60fps, but would dip to 45fps occasionally when entering a new area. That was just because of shaders. Though in some boss fights with a lot of effects going on it would drop to 40fps.
Overall the performance was pretty solid and this was on day 1 release build on EGS. I can't imagine it got worse than that.
Even if put all graphics option to minimum level, I got short freeze each time something appens in the game.
Starting animation ---> freeze, and then sound not synch
First impuls ---> freeze
first spirit appears ---> freeze
first move of any type ---> freeze
moving the camera ---> freeze
It's really annoying.
And I don't have this type of problems on other games without having to set options to min. :(
in windows settings there is a gaming window go into it and make sure the GPU calling is turned on. Also this game benefits from resizable bar. So make sure the resizable bar option is turned on in your motherboard bios.
Same problems. Its Unreal Engine, guys. I got this freezes in all games based this engine. I mean games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Darksiders III, Remnant: From the Ashes.
it 100% freeze when you change location, sometimes in hard battle, sometimes just looking around. And don't matter how much fps you have(even 100+) it fells sometimes like game dying for a second and it annoying
I don't know if you've noticed this, but this game's recommended GPU is higher than Horizon Zero Dawn's recommended GPU (GTX 1060 for Horizon and GTX 1070 for Kena).
I've had smooth frame rate running Horizon Zero Dawn on medium preset, 1080p @60fps on my GTX 1660-Ti (in laptop) with Ryzen 7 4800H and 16GB of RAM (dual channel).
I've felt that this game is a bit stuttery on my same hardware.
I think I agree with @forsaken that the issue is related to the game engine Unreal Engine 4.
