The Ye Family Battalion has 2 costumes as you progress through their story. I'm assuming the other 2 military factions have their own costumes. The Confucian Sect has one, but you don't switch to it if you are wearing a military one.

Also, if you collect the 12 animal rings and do that quest, you can optionally change your appearance to one of 5 different options plus reverting to default if you still have a changed appearance.
